Two more people have been arrested in connection to a pool party where a McAllen high school football player fell and later died. Michelle Rodriguez , 38, and a 17-year-old juvenile are accused of providing alcohol at the Aug. 17 pool party where Adan De La Cruz , a 17-year-old student at James Nikki Rowe High School , was fatally injured. The teen attempted to jump from a roof to a pool but slipped and fell to the ground, striking his head, police said. He was pronounced dead on Aug.
Three McAllen teens arrested over house party where high school football player died in fall The report states that Rodriguez and the juvenile are both pending arraignment and face a charge of furnishing alcohol to a minor. Five others have been arrested in connection to the pool party, including four minors and Jamie De La Cerda Islas, 51. The party was held at the home of Islas' brother-in-law. Islas organized the gathering for his son and his son’s friends, police said.
