Two men, one of which has been identified as teenager, have been arrested for the possession of over R1 million worth of crayfish tails in Vredenburg, Western Cape.
The 19 and 36-year-old were arrested on Friday on Paternoster Road, confirmed Western Cape police spokesperson, Sergeant Wesley Twigg.
This was after the West Coast Flying Squad received information about a white Ford Ranger with two occupants transporting the crayfish tails.After pulling the vehicle over and searching it, the members found bags filled with crayfish tails in the back, Twigg said. A total of 17 534 tails with an estimated street value of R1.1 million were counted.Also read:
