UPDATE: Phoenix police have released the identities of the two men shot and killed in an alleged home invasion attempt Saturday morning: abc15
Officials say when officers arrived, 20-year-old Jairo Perez and 24-year-old Jose Gutierrez were found with gunshot wounds in front of a home.
Both men were taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said. They later confirmed both of the men had died.During interviews, investigators say the three suspects"provided consistent stories of self-defense stating the two men forced their way into the home." The three suspects have since been released, according to police, and that charges will be submitted for review.
