Police say the woman was forced to work up to 12 hours a day, seven days a week for months at restaurants in Gull Lake, Elrose and Tisdale.
According to RCMP, the woman was forced to work up to 12 hours a day, seven days a week for several months at restaurants in Gull Lake, Elrose and Tisdale. Gull Lake is about 57 kilometres southwest of Swift Current, Elrose is about 116 km north of Swift Current and Tisdale is 216 km northeast of Saskatoon.
“The woman was threatened by her employers that her working permit would be taken away or police would be called if she did not comply with the demanding work schedule and restrictions to her freedoms,” RCMP said in a media release.
