Police said Jeffrey Coachman and Recco Bouknight were charged with murder in the shooting.

Two men have been arrested and charged with murder in the fatal shooting of a 19-year-old outside a liquor store in the Temple Hills area in June, Prince George’s County police said. Jeffrey Coachman, 49, and Recco Bouknight, 53, both of Washington, were charged with first-degree murder and related counts in the killing of Tyzaiah Gaither, also of Washington.

Coachman and Bouknight are being held without bond, according to online court records. According to charging documents, they repeatedly shot Gaither before running him over with a car as they fled the scene. Police said in a news release that detectives “believe Gaither had attempted to steal money from Coachman before the shooting.”
