Anthony Arizmendez is one of two men arrested Friday in connection with a drive-by shooting that left a 2-year-old girl dead last month.Two men, one in his teens, were arrested Friday in connection with theDerrain Jayvon Turner, 17, and Anthony Garza Arizmendez, 37, were arrested on a charge of murder of a child under 10. Turner is being held on a $400,000 bail, while bail for Arizmendez, who was arrested hours later, has not been determined.
Investigators said that two men used a black Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck — later determined to be stolen — to commit a drive-by shooting, which was captured in surveillance video from neighbors, according to the affidavit. The truck shown in the footage had a unique front bumper guard that was similar to one seen in photos that the woman provided. The woman’s photos also showed a toolbox in the truck’s bed that matched one found at Arizmendez’s home.
