Two men have been arrested after the death of a baby boy in Blackpool. The infant was rushed to the city’s Victoria Hospital in an ‘unresponsive’ state and died there on July 27th.

The infant was rushed to the city’s Victoria Hospital in an ‘unresponsive’ state and died there on July 27.A 34-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and a 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing and allowing the death of a child and child neglect. Both men are from Blackpool and have since been released on conditional bail pending further inquiries.
Police were called to the hospital on July 27 at 7.15pm but ‘very sadly, the baby boy was pronounced deceased a short time later’, a force spokesman said. He added: ‘An investigation is ongoing to establish the circumstances leading up to the baby boy’s death.‘The cause of the baby’s death is awaiting further investigation.’
