Southeast Health announced Friday that two local cardiologists with more than five decades of combined experience will be joining the health system next year.
Michael J. Pinson, a cardiologist specializing in electrophysiology with Dothan Specialty Clinic/Cardiology Associates, will join Arthur Kendig, EP cardiologist, in practice at Southeast Health EP Cardiology on Jan. 1, 2024.Darius Aliabadi, an interventional cardiologist with Hearts South, will join the medical group on April 1, 2024, and remain at his current location.
The addition of these cardiologists to the medical group reinforces Southeast Health’s commitment to maintaining a strong cardiology program. Their services complement the existing structural heart and cardiovascular surgery programs at Southeast Health. This core group of established cardiologists who are joining the medical group along with independent cardiologists on the medical staff at Southeast Health have committed to helping recruit new physicians to the area and work together to continue to address the region’s heart and vascular needs.
