NHS Lanarkshire is currently running its winter Covid and flu vaccination programme from six venues – Airdrie and Ravenscraig plus Cumbernauld’s Link community centre in North Lanarkshire, and at the South Lanarkshire venues of the Alistair McCoist sports complex in East Kilbride, Eddlewood public hall in Hamilton and Braidfute retail park in Lanark.

North Lanarkshire Council officials say there is no timescale yet for the full reopening of Sir John Wilson town hall for functions and public events as renovation work will be needed to the 500-capacity main hall, which has been in exclusive use for vaccinations since August 2021. Vaccines were initially delivered from 73 locations across Lanarkshire including GP surgeries, its three acute hospitals, community centres and sports venues.
