Kaizer Chiefs will be without Castillo and Dortley for their Nedbank Cup clash against SuperSport United due to injuries sustained during international duty.

Two Kaizer Chiefs stars return to camp with injuries, set to miss SuperSport game. Amakhosi face Matsatsantsa in the last 16 of the Nedbank Cup on Saturday. The Soweto giants will be without Castillo and Dortley for the clash after both players picked up injuries while on international duty in the past two weeks. Castillo might not start Saturday’s match having picked an injury while on duty with Venezuela.

He came as a late substitute for Venezuela in the home 1-1 Fifa World Cup qualifier draw with Lionel Messi’s Argentina.“It is always interesting to see a good number of players in your team being part of the national teams,” Nabi told the media. “It is an honour for us and I’m also sure there are other players in our team who will have the opportunity to represent the national team. “But, having a game that is so close might be a little challenge for us because you don’t have enough time to give the players to recover and technically prepare for the upcoming game,” the Tunisian added as per reports. Before the start of the season, Kaizer Chiefs had several injuries to deal with. Bongani Sam, Brandon Petersen, Mduduzi Mdantsane and Edmilson Dover suffered injuries and haven’t played a single match this season. “For instance, we have a player like Castillo who is only arriving today at 15:00, so we don’t know if he is going to have enough time to recover. “Another example is Dortley, I heard he has an injury. So, all these issues we have to try and work around them and see how we can include them in the team and prepare for the game,” Nabi said
