SAN ANTONIO - Two people were hospitalized in critical condition after a possible shooting sparked a fiery crash on the city's East side.According to the San Antonio Police Department , officers responded to reports of a shooting and a major accident. Upon arrival, they discovered a black Nissan Altima that had crashed into a large boulder at the end of a one-way street. The vehicle was engulfed in flames by the time officers arrived.
Witnesses reported hearing gunshots before the crash and were able to pull both victims from the burning car. Police say they located shell casings at the scene, but neither victim was able to provide a statement due to the severity of their injuries. Investigators are currently trying to determine if the occupants of the Nissan were involved in the shooting and whether they were firing into the air before losing control of the vehicle.
