Two flu-related deaths have been recorded in Summit County — the first fatalities of the flu season in that county — and none so far in Cuyahoga County, according to health department records.

y deaths were males. One was a Summit County resident in his 90s, and one was a Medina County resident in his 60s, health official said. The Medina County resident’s death was registered in Summit County because he died there. The fatalities were during the week ending Jan. 8.

* Lorain County has had five flu-related hospitalizations this season, and does not track adult flu-related deaths.* Lake County has seen no flu-related hospitalizations.
