Two festivals this month promise whiskey lovers an abundance of whiskey samples, cocktails, seminars, food, and entertainment.HTX Whiskey WeekendHere’s what you need to know about each:This large format tasting event brings noted and emerging whiskey brands together under one roof for an immersive whiskey experience presided over by master distillers and brand representatives.
• Chef’s Table by Butcher’s Ball: Limited to 100 guests, this dinner features pitmasters from Blood Bros. BBQ and chefs from Luloo’s Day and Night collaborating on a menu with whiskey cocktails from Still Austin. April 28 at 6 p.m.; $185 per person. • Whiskey seminars: Three different whiskey seminars on April 29 at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m.; $35 per seminar.
• A Taste of City Place: The weekend’s signature event is a whiskey sampling from various distillers as well as food, cocktails, and mocktails. April 29, noon to 6 p.m.; $85 per person. • Whiskey Under the Stars: A smaller-scale sampling of Milam & Green whiskey along with cigar rolling and live music. April 29, 6 to 10 p.m.; $35 per person.
