in Democratic Republic of Congo has been narrowed to focus on two experimental drugs after they showed"clearly better" results, scientists leading the trial said on Monday.Two other experimental treatments — ZMapp, an intravenous treatment made by Mapp Biopharmaceutical, and Remdesivir, made by Gilead Sciences — will be dropped, the researchers said.
Ebola virus disease has been spreading in eastern Congo since August 2018 in an outbreak that has now become the world's second largest in history, killing at least 1,800 people.
