KUALA LUMPUR: Two drug distribution syndicates were busted by the police in a series of raids spanning four states.

Bukit Aman Narcotics Crime Investigation Department director Comm Datuk Ramli Din, in a press conference at Bukit Aman on Tuesday , said 13 raids between July 22 to 24 were conducted in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Johor and Pahang, leading to the arrest of 23 suspects.“Around 68kg of suspected syabu and 228.6kg of suspected ecstasy were seized, among the various drugs found.Comm Ramli said that both busts were the biggest during the movement control order period.

“It is believed that the syndicates have been active between nine and 12 months. Both masterminds of the groups were arrested during our raids, ” he said.
