A girl is in serious condition while a man has also sustained injuries in a dog attack in southern Queensland.

Logan City Council announced the two unregistered Bull Arabs were seized on Monday afternoon after the attack in Woodridge with a council spokeswoman revealing they were put down on Tuesday. She remains in a serious but stable condition as she undergoes an assessment to determine any internal damage from her injuries.

The girl was mauled by both dogs at about 4.30pm after she was pulled off a fence before she was rescued by her uncle Reece Chapman.He suffered leg injuries which required ten stitches as a result of his efforts."She is currently in surgery and we are just waiting to hear from the hospital to see how it went."
