ALOR GAJAH: An outing to a Ramadan bazaar turned tragic for a man and his nephew after both were killed when their car hit a tree at Jalan Lendu in Masjid Tanah here.
Alor Gajah OCPD Supt Arshad Abu said Mohd Firdaus Yusof, 38 and his nephew Muhammad Hasraf Amin Hasrin, 23, died on the spot in the accident at midnight on Friday ."The family of the victims told us that the three had left their home to the bazaar to buy items as preparation for the upcoming Hari Raya celebration.
"The driver Muhammad Hasraf had lost control of the vehicle before skidding and hitting the tree at the stretch," he added.He added that the accident is now being investigated under the Road Transport Act 1987.
