7NEWS helicopter footage shows a large number of emergency personnel and significant wreckage at the site of the crash.Two planes have crashed at Caboolture Airfield.It is not confirmed what caused the crash but authorities have confirmed the planes have collided in the air. It is believed the collision occurred at a low altitude at the eastern end of the airstrip, indicating the planes were taking-off or landing at the time.
QAS spokesman Matthew Davis said the sight of the plane crash was “incredibly confronting” and “extremely traumatic” for paramedics. “Unfortunately, the aircraft had sustained significant impact damage and, unfortunately, when we assessed both those occupants, they were deceased at the scene,” he said.Your cookie settings are preventing this third party content from displaying.
