In Atlanta, the two remaining co-defendants were acquitted of murder charges , concluding the longest-running criminal trial in Georgia state history. Deamonte “Yak Gotti” Kendrick was found not guilty of all charges and embraced his lawyer, Doug Weinstein. Shannon Stillwell was convicted of one count of possessing a firearm as a convicted felon but was found not guilty of the rest of the charges. Stillwell was sentenced to time served and probation.
Both men had been charged with a deadly drive-by shooting outside a barber shop in 2015 and an additional shooting in 2022. Their lawyers expressed hope for their clients' future
