CHANDLER, AZ — Chandler police say a father shot his two children and them himself Saturday night near Queen Creek and Alma School roads.
Officials say a five-year-old girl and a fifteen-year-old boy were taken to area hospitals in critical condition Saturday night.The mother was the one who made the 911 call saying that her children had been shot, according to police. She was not injured. A police spokesman said the mother and the two children were home Saturday night when the husband arrived unannounced at the house. The man did not live at the house with the mother and children.An active order of protection was filed from the wife that prohibited the man from being at the home or possessing any firearms, according to police.
The father was arrested by Chandler police in February 2022 for domestic violence, aggravated assault and disorderly conduct after the man pointed a rifle at his wife.This is a developing situation. Stay with ABC15 and abc15.com for the latest updates.
