Two Scottish seaside spots have been named among the UK's favourite

New research by Which? has revealed the UK’s favourite seaside destinations and two Scottish spots are featured in the top 10.destinations, surveying more than 3,000 visitors and asking them to rate their experiences of seaside towns in the last year. Criteria included quality of the beaches, food and drink offerings, tourist attractions, and value for money., which comes in at number five with an overall customer score of 83 per cent.

, and accommodation, it received three stars, with a hotel costing on average £159, according to Which?.on the Isle of Mull, which was given a customer score of 81 per cent. Known for being where children's television series Balamory was filmed, the colourful town is among the prettiest ports in Scotland, and offers an array of independent shops, cafés, and restaurants to check out.

Meanwhile, Bamburgh in Northumberland secured the overall top spot, with an"impressive" destination score of 88 per cent. The coastal village and civil parish is known for its sandy beaches and ancient castle, as well as its cosy eateries.
