The National Weather Service continued to monitor the potential for severe weather on Thursday for all of Alabama. Forecasters have also added a risk for storms on Wednesday for the northwestern part of the state.

The timing for Thursday’s storms is still fairly uncertain but will be nailed down in the next few days. Forecasters have now added a Level 1 out of 5 risk for Wednesday. A Level 1 risk means that isolated severe storms will be possible.The areas in dark green will have a Level 1 out of 5 risk for severe weather on Wednesday.
Forecasters said Wednesday’s storms could be hail producers. Wind gusts up to 60 mph will also be possible.Uncertainties remain about the threat level for Thursday, but strong storms look to be possible statewide.
