IPOH: A group of six men including two brothers were arrested during a drug raid in Jelapang here.
Perak police chief Comm Datuk Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri said the raid was conducted at a premises at 3am on Wednesday .“During the bust, we found 47.5 litres of liquid believed to be methamphetamine and some solid substances believed to be 0.52g of heroin and 0.155g of methamphetamine. We estimated the value of the drugs to be RM672,649.
“We also seized a lorry and four motorcycles worth RM76,000. The total value of the seized drugs and vehicles are nearly RM750,000,” he said at a press conference held at Perak police headquarters here on Friday .“We believed that the syndicate started early this year and the chemicals used to make the drugs are from the northern region.
“Usually during a drug bust, we often seize methamphetamine in solid or powder form. But this time we managed to seize a large quantity of liquid methamphetamine,” he said.“Two of the suspects work as fish farm operators and another two are unemployed. “All of them have prior records in crime and drugs. They have been remanded for seven days from July 5 until July 11 to help with the investigation,” he said.
