Two people have been arrested in the United States for allegedly operating a secret Chinese police station in Manhattan.
They each face charges for conspiring to act as agents of the Chinese government without informing US authorities.
The pair told the FBI they ceased communications between themselves and a Chinese government official when they started being investigated. The US Attorney for the Eastern District of New York says the defendants violated the sovereignty of the United States through their involvement in the operation.
