SAN JOSE – Two men have been arrested in connection with an injury shooting earlier this year in San Jose, police said.
On Jan. 18, one suspect entered a home on West Reed Street near South First Street and shot the victim at least once, San Jose police Officer Steve Aponte said in a news release Wednesday.Police later identified 33-year-old Anthony Watson as the gunman and 29-year-old Richard McCord as his accomplice, Aponte said. Both men are residents of San Jose.
Detectives obtained search warrants for each suspect’s residence and recovered ammunition and a “ghost gun,” or an unregistered privately made firearm, Aponte said. Both men were arrested on June 20 and booked into Santa Clara County jail on charges of attempted murder and conspiracy to commit attempted murder, Aponte said.
