The New York City Police Department responded to a 911 call at the Randall's Island migrant shelter just before 8 p.m. Friday. When they arrived, police found a 25-year-old man with a stab wound in his left shoulder, according to an NYPD spokesperson. The shelter has become known for violent altercations. In January, NYPD officers arrested 18 people during a conflict that broke out after a man was stabbed in the neck, according to the agency.
