"According to the CDC, in the 12-month period ending in February 2022, more than 75,000 Americans died from overdosing on synthetic opioids, mainly fentanyl," Harris County Sen. Joan Huffman said.Texas has reached a"critical point" in the fentanyl crisis, she said in a March interview.
