Two people have been arrested after a 28-year-old woman was held against her will at a Cape Town hotel.Police arrested two suspects at two Cape Town hotels while investigating a hostage situation.

Police arrested two suspects - a man, 39, and a 40-year-old woman - on Thursday after following up on a tip that a woman was being held at the establishment against her will. "SAPS was provided with information of her identity, and after searching the surrounding area, she was located in the streets near the hotel," Van Wyk said. "An unknown woman opened the room door where the complainant was allegedly kept against her will. The woman was questioned, after which she voluntarily handed over two tik packets," said Van Wyk.The suspect allowed police to continue searching the room.
