She talked about her childhood and how she only started learning English at the age of 19 when she moved to the United States.Theron said she could barely string a sentence together in English, however, with her pursuit to become an actress – that had to change.
Theron said in a matter-of-fact tone: “There are about 44 people still speaking it. It’s definitely a dying language; it’s not a very helpful language”.
