Twitter has been flooded with sexually explicit images in a coordinated campaign to suppress online posts about “zero-Covid” protests in China, internet researchers say. But tactics like this aren't new.

Liu Pengyu, spokesperson for the Chinese Embassy in Washington, denied the allegation, saying it “has no factual basis.”
