These powerful entities abused their power to achieve a common goal: the suppression of the Hunter Biden laptop story. The revelations about Twitter’s inside dealings expose a concerted effort to manipulate the free flow of information to voters ahead of a critical election.
Deeply disturbed by this loss, Democrats seized upon a July 2019 phone call between Trump and Ukrainian President. During the call, Trump asked Zelensky to look into Hunter Biden’s lucrative job with Ukrainian energy company Burisma Holdings and former Vice President Joe Biden’s famous 2014 threat to withhold $1 billion in U.S. aid unless then-Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko fired the prosecutor who was looking into Burisma’s corruption.
It wasn’t the trove of homemade pornography found on the laptop that has Republicans concerned. Emails on the laptop strongly suggest Hunter Biden sold access to his powerful father. The most damning was one that refers to the “big guy” and his 10% cut in the profits of a joint venture with CEFC China Energy, a company tied to the Chinese Communist Party. Hunter Biden’s former business partner, Tony Bobulinski, has gone on the record repeatedly to say the “big guy” was indeed Joe Biden.
