A pair of conjoined twins whose skulls were fused back-to-back have been successfully separated, doctors have said.
He added at a press conference that the girls will now be able to have a ‘normal life’ after a phase of rehabilitation. Dr Marras stated the most complex aspect of the procedure was giving both children autonomous venous drainage systems.
