Offbeat Market hooks up with open-minded roller-skating concern Rainbow Dome for the Rainbow Solstice Market, a last-minute holiday shopper’s windfall with creative queer- and woman-owned vendors, food trucks, tattoos, tarot readings and the whimsical, hand-painted Rainbow Dome photo booth. A portion of all sales will benefit the Tigray Development Association, a British nonprofit providing aid to people affected by conflict and famine in Tigray, Ethiopia.
The BRDG Project, still seeking the right spot and the funds to finance a new brick-and-mortar space, makes giving fun with Champagne & Donuts, a fancy brunch and Art in the Round, a special sale of more than 100 works by 100 artists. All of the artworks, painted on twelve-inch rounds by an all-star cast of familiar local artists, are priced at $200. The event also includes music and dance performances, plus live painting by BRDG partner Michael Dowling, all for the price of nothing.
