Hansons Auctioneers has joined forces with Memory Lane Antiques for the new venture

TV personality Charles Hanson has launched an auction office in a Nottinghamshire town. The owner of Hansons Auctioneers has joined forces with an antiques firm in Southwell for the new venture.

Carol and Dave will perform home visits to evaluate antiques, or, if preferred, arrange auction consignments. Mr Hanson, who is known for his appearances on shows including Flog It! and Bargain Hunt, said the area has previously "yielded some exceptional antique finds and we hope to discover many more".

“We’re pleased to be working with Carol and Dave. This collaboration brings Hansons’ full range of services to Southwell. These include house clearances and downsizing services, free home visits to assess large collections and the valuation and sale of all types of antiques and collectables including ceramics, furniture, clocks and jewellery.
