The commitments were made during a meeting on Friday between President Erdogan and Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam in Istanbul, where the two leaders reviewed regional developments and discussed the future of bilateral relations. Erdogan welcomed Salam with an official ceremony at the Vahdettin Mansion before the two leaders briefly viewed Istanbul's historic skyline from the pavilion.
"Türkiye values its relations with its brotherly country Lebanon," Erdogan said, adding that closer diplomatic engagement would be beneficial.
