putrajaya Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad satu-satunya individu daripada Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) yang dicalonkan sebagai Perdana Menteri.

Timbalan Presiden Bersatu, Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir berkata, keputusan itu dibuat oleh Majlis Pimpinan Tertinggi parti itu.

“Jadi kesempatan ini, kita memberi sedikit kronologi mengenai apa yang berlaku membabitkan Majlis Pimpinan Tertinggi parti yang secara jelas membuat dua keputusan dalam mesyuarat MPT sebelum ini. “Kedua, ialah MPT sebulat suara buat keputusan untuk meminta Tun Dr Mahathir menarik balik keputusan beliau untuk meletakkan jawatan sebagai pengerusi parti. Jadi tidak benar sama sekali mana-mana kenyataan yang menyatakan beliau tidak lagi pengerusi parti,” katanya.
