(UPDATE) SEN.

Rafael 'Raffy' Tulfo on Thursday, April 13, visited the Land Transportation Office in Diliman, QuezonCity, to verify complaints received by his RTIA Action Center about the alleged rampant corruption in the agency that amasses billions of pesos from collections yearly.

The office, according to the senator, can offer the test instead so the billions collected from it can go to the public treasury and not to some 'hao siao' outsourced eye examination clinics. This way, he said, the funds can be used for meaningful projects like free cataract surgery and free eyeglasses for the poor, as well as research and treatment on vision and blindness.
