Tucson police said officers told the man to drop a knife but he refused.
Tucson police officers fatally shot a man who they say broke into a woman's apartment near Tucson Boulevard and Drexel Road in Tucson early Wednesday.
Before entering the woman's home, the man got into a fight with a neighbor and forced entry into their apartment, according to reports. Tucson police said they tried to de-escalate the situation and deployed a beanbag shotgun, which is less lethal, to get the man to drop the knife.
