A jealous husband will spend over two decades behind bars for strangling his wife to death.

The Pretoria High Court recently handed out a hefty sentence of 25 years to a prison warder from Mamelodi following the murder of his wife.

Phora was among the 10 000 newly trained police officers who graduated in December 2022 from Pretoria West. She said Ntshangase and Phora were married and lived in Mamelodi Phase 5, where the lifeless body of the wife was found in a back room of the home. The neighbour said when the husband was found, he was taken to hospital for treatment after he attempted suicide by taking poison.
