Traveling this Halloween weekend? The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has some tips for how to get through airport security without a horror show

“Place those masks in carry-on baggage until after checkpoint screening to avoid any alarms and delays,” according to the TSA. It’s okay to bring a Halloween costume through airport security in carry-on bag, with one big exception: toy weapons of any kind that accessorize your outfit are always. “While realistic replica weapons might enhance your Halloween costume and add to the spirit of the holiday, they are not permitted through a checkpoint,” says the TSA. “To avoid unnecessary delay, please pack your replica scythes, pitch forks, chainsaws, brooms, butcher knives, axes, swords and such in your checked bags.
