We chat with brilliant Bros stars TsMadisonatl1 & lawrenceatl about the LGBTQ+ museum board in their new film, and how they hope to change the landscape for trans actors:

Some audience members may see Bros as simply a rom-com starring gay men, but it is a groundbreaking film in many ways. Not only did Universal give the project its full backing, in a first time for a major motion picture studio, but it also brings together all-queer ensemble cast to tell a story about the forgotten stories of the LGBTQ+ community.

Miss Lawrence: I think what we did as the board in putting the exhibit together was off to a good start. Obviously, there are so many LGBTQ stories, so I would do it exactly how we did it. But I would expand it, definitely, and I would definitely focus more on going to the root of who we are and those that really paved the way without knowing that's what they were doing. Those that just stood in the gap and said, "I am a person that deserves to be on this earth.

I really loved how many moments of LGBTQ history were sprinkled throughout the film, many of which were new to me. I was wondering if there were any pieces of history that were new to you, or else conversations you brought to the table? I had the opportunity to work with her, and for her to speak into my ear and be like, "Sister, you got this!" Because I come from a social media world where I just turn on my camera. People usually hire me for my personality; they hire me to come into the room because I'm Ts Madison, and whatever comes along with that, that's what you pay for. In these arenas that I've been working in, it's been, "Read your lines, know your lines, do the script.

One through line in the film that was so interesting was when Bobby and Aaron go to see that cowboy film, and they talk about straight cis actors taking on these roles of LGBTQ heroes and then winning awards. How do you see that scenery changing for you as actors? What do you the landscape looks like?
