Port Arthur police are searching for Marcus Hubbard, who is accused of mowing a residential lawn before stealing the mower.Police are searching for a man who allegedly delayed his getaway to mow a lawn after burglarizing a Port Arthur home this month.
On May 1, the homeowner told police that their security cameras captured video showing a man – later identified as Marcus Hubbard – cutting grass on their property. In the video, Hubbard could be seen walking up the homeowner’s driveway and out of the camera’s view briefly before reemerging on screen wheeling a bicycle and a lawnmower down the driveway. The soon-to-be thief apparently wanted to try before he stole as he started cutting the homeowner’s lawn with the red push-mower.
Hubbard pushes the mower back and forth across the front and back yard until the police show up, Port Arthur officials said. When officers arrived, Hubbard fled, dragging the lawnmower with him before abandoning it in a nearby alley.
