President Donald Trump warned Wednesday that Iran would "pay the price" for delaying a peace agreement after theon Tehran following the downing of an Army Apache helicopter near the Strait of Hormuz.
"Iran’s Military is a complete and total mess. Much of it, like their Navy and Air Force, doesn’t even exist anymore - They have been completely defeated. Iran is all talk and no action," Trump wrote on Truth Social.

" Iran responded with retaliatory strikes on Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan — all of which host U.S. troops — further escalating the conflict and raising new questions about the durability of ceasefire efforts.
It marked the second time this week that attacks by both sides have tested the truce after Iran and Israel exchanged strikes on Monday. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi condemned the U.S. attacks as a violation of Iranian sovereignty during calls with counterparts from Turkey and Saudi Arabia and emphasized Tehran's "inherent right of self-defense, including reciprocal action," according to a statement posted on his office's Telegram channel.
Araghchi's remarks were followed by comments from Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei, who said Wednesday that Iran would review its position on negotiations in light of the latest attacks.halt fighting between its ally Hezbollah and Israel. At the center of the conflict is Iran's blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, a critical shipping route for global oil and natural gas supplies, and U.S. demands that Tehran relinquish its stockpile of highly enriched uranium.
In response, Trump imposed a U.S. Naval blockade aimed at cutting off Iranian oil revenue and preventing what Washington describes as illegal tolls collected by Tehran from vessels transiting the strait. After warning Iran over its latest retaliatory strikes, Trump also touted the effectiveness of the blockade,that the "fake news media refuses to report how effective the U.S. Naval blockade is, the most successful blockade in the history of Naval warfare.

" As military operations continue and diplomatic efforts remain uncertain, the conflict has also had significant economic consequences. The war, which began following U.S. and Israeli attacks on Iran in February, has rattled global markets, pushed energy prices higher and increased costs for consumers worldwide. Brent crude oil, the international benchmark, traded above $91 a barrel Wednesday, up more than 25% since the conflict began.
