President attacks notetakers in broadside against Mueller report he says exonerates him
The president, in an incomplete tweetstorm dashed off before a round of golf with conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh, accused the sources of the Mueller report — current and former members of his administration or his businesses — of making stories up to either make themselves look good or Trump look bad.
The Mueller report does contain 162 references to notes, and the passage where he reportedly says the appointment of the special counsel meant the end of his presidency relies on the written account of Jody Hunt, then the chief of staff to former Attorney General Jeff Sessions.Don McGahn, the former White House chief counsel, told Trump that his conversations were not protected by attorney-client privilege.
