President Trump threw his weight behind the GOP candidate in the Westchester County executive’s special election set for Tuesday, blasting Democrats in the Big Apple suburb for “protecting” criminal migrants.

The Immigrant Protection Act instructs county agencies, including the Department of Corrections, not to engage in the enforcement of federal immigration law, including accepting detainer requests unless attached to a judicial warrant. “Right now criminal illegal aliens are protected from federal authorities in Westchester, but we can change everything and make Westchester safer if our people show up as the president urged them to do.”“Westchester County is not and has never been a sanctuary county, which our opponent should know but apparently doesn’t. But the law in place now is the same law that was in place under Trump 1 and Biden,” a campaign spokesperson said.
