Trump threatens Michigan and Nevada over mail-in voting plans
Trump falsely claimed on Twitter that Michigan is sending ballots, and not ballot applications, to its voters. On Tuesday, Michigan’s secretary of state said her office would send absentee ballot applications to voters for elections in August and November.

Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson tweeted to Trump: “We sent applications, not ballots. Just like my GOP colleagues in Iowa, Georgia, Nebraska and West Virginia.” Trump is scheduled to visit a Ford Motor Co. But experts have said fraudulent ballots are rare. Democrats, meanwhile, are supportive of mail-in voting as a way of safely casting ballots during the coronavirus pandemic.
