Former President Donald Trump expressed his sympathy for the people of Hawaii after deadly wildfires decimated the town of Lahaina on the island of Maui, but also slammed President Joe Biden for his response to the natural disaster.
Trump declared Biden as the"most incompetent president in the history of our country" for his handling of the disaster in the 50th state.
Trump slammed Biden for not commenting on the rising death toll from the fire, when asked on Sunday. He also slammed the president for his handling of the toxic train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio in February. "To say no comment is oftentimes fine, but to be smiling when you say it, especially again such a tragedy as this, is absolutely horrible and unacceptable. It is a disgraceful thing that Joe Biden refuses to help or comment on the tragedy in Maui, just as he refused to help or comment on the train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio for a very, very long time," he added.
"The president and the first lady have been very clear about offering their condolences in making sure that we continue this whole-of-government approach," Jean-Pierre said on Monday."That is not going to stop. The president has also committed to being there for the government of Hawaii, the people of Maui, for as long as it takes."
