Donald Trump is pictured bloodied as he's rushed off stage by Secret Service after a shooting at a rally in Pennsylvania. One audience member and the shooter are believed to have died. The incident is being investigated as an assassination attempt.
Members of President Joe Biden's cabinet have released statements condemning the shooting at the Trump rally in Pennsylvania.Attorney General Merrick Garland said he has been briefed and that he briefed Mr Biden on the shooting, and said all the arms of the Department of Justice are working with statement and local law enforcement.Political violence is 'an attack on democracy,' Garland continued, adding that his heart is with Trump and the family of the person killed.
The defence secretary, Lloyd Austin, said his entire department 'condemns this violence, which has absolutely no place in our democracy'.'This is not the way that we resolve our differences in America—and it must never be,' he said.'I'm relieved that reports indicate former President Trump is safe, and I am praying for him and his family and everyone affected by this appalling incident.
