President-elect Donald Trump's sentencing for falsifying business records is scheduled for January 10th, just days before his inauguration. New York Judge Juan Merchan indicated a preference against incarceration and acknowledged the possibility of postponing proceedings until after Trump's presidential term if a sentence cannot be issued before his swearing-in.
