The president says he'd like Pratt to 'do well' in the election in a statement that could hurt Pratt's chances in the election.
was asked Wednesday by reporters if he sees himself in Pratt, as they were both former reality TV stars who entered politics.
“I’d like to see him do well, he’s a character,” Trump replied . “I assume he probably supports me. Does he support me? ”“I heard he does,” Trump continued.

He’s doing well. ”Pratt is registered as a Republican but has taken pains to downplay his party affiliation — and distance himself from Trump — in his effort to unseat unpopular incumbent Karen Bass in the heavily Democratic city. Raman — who is also in the race — have repeatedly tried to link Pratt to Trump during the campaign.
While Trump’s statement wasn’t a full-throated endorsement, the comments will almost certainly be used by Pratt’s opponents — particularly the “big MAGA person” line. Raman claimed on X, “Donald Trump is about to endorse Spencer … we need to raise more to prove that LA doesn’t want a MAGA Republican mayor who lives in the Bel Air hotel. ” Pratt replied by tweeting: “I have the only endorsement I need. Moms and animal lovers who want to feel safe.
